Nectar hires Spannerworks to widen loyalty search

26 September 2007

Search-led digital marketing agency Spannerworks, an iCrossing company, has been appointed to deliver an integrated search marketing campaign for the Nectar website www.nectar.com.

The campaign will place search at the heart of the Nectar website, with particular focus on the Nectar eStores portal, which routes customers to an extensive range of online retailers, collecting Nectar points in the process.

Spannerworks is tasked to deliver search engine optimisation on a wide range of search terms encompassing many of the products and services offered via Nectar. In addition, paid search will be utilised to promote selected terms, helping to drive more traffic to the site.

Nectar’s main objectives for the campaign are to increase redemption and collection of points through the site and improve brand awareness.

Arjo Ghosh, Chief Executive Officer of Spannerworks comments: “Our partnership with Nectar is an excellent example of the flexibility and importance of search for retailers. Developing a campaign of this scale must be done in partnership with the client, and Nectar took this one step further by using search to inform their site development.”

Roger Sniezek, E-Commerce Director of Nectar, adds: “Nectar offers a real win-win situation for our customers, but we have to make sure that they have the option to use our service when searching for their desired purchases. Spannerworks’ offered us a total natural and paid search package, scalable to suit our wide-ranging and constantly changing requirements.”
