Spannerworks Wins Business Growth Award
21 September 2007
Search-based digital marketing agency Spannerworks scooped the award for Business Growth at the regional Brighton and Hove Business Awards (BAHBAs) last night.
The award acknowledged Spannerworks as one of the fastest growing businesses in Brighton, with a 90 per cent rise in headcount over the past year.
In February it was acquired by iCrossing, the world’s largest independent digital marketing agency, turning it overnight into a multimillion-pound concern. Headquartered in Brighton, Spannerworks currently employs over 90 people across its Brighton and London offices.
Its client list includes BT, Virgin, Sainsbury’s Bank and HBOS.
Arjo Ghosh, chief executive officer of Spannerworks, comments: “This BAHBA award means a lot to us, as I firmly believe that the company’s success is linked to its continued investment in people. Brighton is a city that embraces many cultures, attracts amazing people, encourages creativity and offers a refreshing perspective on what success really means…to enjoy what you do.
“Our vision has always been to build an organisation that’s at the cutting-edge of the digital marketing revolution, delivering exceptional work and brilliant thinking. We are therefore delighted to be recognised as one of the fastest growing companies in the region.”
The BAHBAs were established in 2004 to celebrate the wealth of entrepreneurial and creative talent in Brighton and Hove, and to help raise the profile of the city. About 500 people from 100 companies attended last night’s ceremony at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton.
