12 June 2007
International B2B publisher Institutional Investor has launched the beta version of its new vertical search engine, aimed at the hedge fund industry.
The new search tool has been designed to provide financial professionals with customised access to hedge fund content.
Powered by Convera Corporation, the search engine is available both on the Institutional Investor website and at its own URL, www.searchhedgefunds.com.
Traders and investors will benefit from its ability to select highly relevant results on rankings, news and research.
Patrick Condo, president and chief executive officer of Convera, commented: "Institutional Investor has long been a trusted source of information for the financial community.
"A vertical search engine focused on the complex and dynamic hedge fund industry will deliver important content for one of Institutional Investor's key professional communities."
Mr Condo added that the new search engine would provide "an extremely useful tool for anyone working in or dealing with the hedge fund industry".
