Google offers landing page tips
19 September 2007
Search engine Google has provided its advertisers with guidance on improving the quality score of their landing pages.
In an Inside AdWords blog post, crew member Judy reveals that a new Frequently Asked Questions page has been created to outline the main ways in which quality scores can be tackled.
She also notes the types of website which are unlikely to attain a high score due to the type of content they carry.
This includes sites with the primary intention of collecting information about visitors, or which aggregate information from other websites without providing unique content of their own.
"If we receive user complaints about ads for the types of websites listed above, the advertisers of those websites may not be allowed to continue running AdWords ads," Judy asserts.
Google suggests that web publishers who adopt its guidelines are more likely to see an increased return on investment than those who do not.
