Multimap Appoints iCrossing to Deliver Search Marketing Campaign
9 July 2008
London, ENGLAND – 9 July 2008 - iCrossing, a global digital marketing company, has been appointed to deliver an integrated search marketing campaign for Multimap, one of the world’s leading providers of online mapping and location-based services.
The campaign has been developed to meet Multimap’s aggressive growth targets by enhancing search rankings in order to increase user numbers. To achieve this, iCrossing has devised a natural search optimisation strategy that will build search engine visibility on a wide range of search terms associated with Multimap’s services. A paid search campaign will maximise the overall effectiveness of the campaign, further boosting site traffic, enhancing the site’s appeal to potential advertisers.
The Multimap campaign will take a research-led approach, combining in-depth market research and linguistic profiling to identify language patterns and track search habits. This data will then be used to inform and continually evolve the search strategy.
Jim Cruickshank, director of mapping, shopping and local for Microsoft EMEA, comments: “At Multimap we are rapidly developing our offering, and we wanted a partner that could not only drive traffic and user numbers, but help to grow our brand. We chose iCrossing because it offered us a total search package and a track record of delivering digital marketing techniques that provide real and quantifiable results.”
Mel Alcock, CCO, iCrossing UK comments: “Multimap has pioneered online mapping to create a site offering some of the most advanced mapping technologies available on the market today and a host of relevant, local information. We have been working in partnership with Multimap’s team to create an innovative digital marketing programme aimed at increasing traffic and market share and driving revenue opportunities with a view to regaining the number one spot in the market.”
