Sales 'influenced by product pages'
11 December 2007
Product pages are important for online marketers, it has been asserted.
According to Stoney deGeyter on ISEdb, there are 12 strategies that web marketers can pursue in order to maximise sales in the Christmas period.
Heading up the list are calls to action - those urges to buy now, save for later or put in basket that deGeyter states help to capture sales.
Additionally, clearly displayed contact information, a product overview combined with more detailed analysis and a consistent layout are all key to savvy product pages.
Good quality images and comprehensive delivery options that include international shipping information are also cited by the expert as key factors in good web design, as is pricing information and a printer-friendly page option.
"To be effective, your website must implement product pages that are able to satisfy each of your visitor's needs," he explains.
A report published in e-marketer this week highlighted the link between ease of site navigation and sales.
