UX Architect
We are now looking for an experienced UX Architect to work within our Brighton Office. The UX Architect will work closely with the business, design and development teams to deliver elegant, intuitive and compelling UX solutions. Responsibilities will include developing process flows, functional specifications, wireframes and interactive prototypes as well as conducting user research, usability testing, heuristic reviews and working with various analytics systems.
MAIN DUTIES
· The full-lifecycle of system development / web design projects
· Capturing business requirements (through stakeholder interviews, workshops etc.)
· Capturing user goals and requirements – through some or all of contextual (ethnographic) observation, interviews, focus groups, questionnaires/surveys, lab testing, card sorting, diary studies, online research
· Assessing user behaviour through on and offsite site analytics packages
· Exploring a range of ideas and concepts through brainstorming and other creative thinking techniques, low- and high- fidelity prototyping
· Producing high quality deliverables including personas, scenarios, user journeys/flows, usability/expert reviews, competitive reviews, user/content management requirements, wireframes, functional specifications, interaction/behaviour specifications/prototypes, Information architecture, metadata requirements, taxonomies
· The ability to work autonomously and provide accurate work estimates, presentations and other communication assets
· Presenting to clients and internal teams
· Understanding of the DDA in relation to new media, and working with accessibility guidelines
· Planning and facilitating workshops
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· A degree (or equivalent) in human computer interaction, industrial/product design, graphic design, ergonomics, human factors, psychology, or other related field.
· Experience in the design of Rich Internet Applications (RIA) and/or Web 2.0 applications
· 3+ years’ experience in IA, HCI, IxD or UX
· Excellent understanding of web technologies, standards and best practices
· Experience in capturing business requirements
· Experience with wireframing, prototyping and usability testing
· Excellent analytical, verbal and written skills
· Experience with social networking websites
