Senior Social Media Analyst

To research and recommend the most effective online marketing strategy for iCrossing UK in order to express the iCrossing brand online. This strategy must align with iCrossing UK’s business targets for 2010 and deliver a positive return and brand impact. This role requires someone who understands how a brand can exist online and is able to work closely with the wider iCrossing marketing team and key heads in the business to ensure maximum effect. This position reports to: Social Media Manager.
MAIN DUTIES
- Meet the requirements laid out by relevant briefing material and consistently exceed expectations by delivering high quality research and insight to our external and internal clients
- Attend client meetings / workshops and confidently demonstrate knowledge and expertise of Social Media
- Manage and grow your portfolio of clients
- Provide direction to iCrossing client teams with inspirational and innovative thinking and solutions
- Support the Social Media Manager in resourcing existing projects, raising the profile of the team and returning profitable work while growing the revenue the department delivers
DELIVERY DUTIES
- Define programmes of Social Media Activity based on our list of services
- Deliver on these programmes while following existing fulfilment processes to ensure work is profitable and on-time
- Ensure that you, the iCrossing team and the client is clear about what each Social Media project will accomplish and that these objectives are in-line with the client’s stated objectives
- Ensure that your work is of the required standard of quality
- Proactively address problems, inform relevant individuals and suggest solutions
PRODUCT DUTIES
- Keep abreast of the latest development in the discipline of Social Media
- Ensure you have a sound historical understanding of how the web developed and related issues. e.g. copyright, privacy issues, etc.
- Contribute to Connect on a regular basis
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement of our services and ways of working
- Assist in developing new services and ways of working
- Communicate knowledge of services within the business and to clients
- Suggest and take advantage of training opportunities
NEW BUSINESS
- Ensure prospective work is priced and resourced accurately in-line with correct processes and is documented
- Support the Business Development Team where appropriate
- Identify opportunities to win new business and to grow accounts
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Excellent knowledge of Social Media principles
- Client-facing experience
- Knowledge of other digital marketing disciplines
Desirable
- Active use of Social Media
- Knowledge of Analytics, both use and importance of
- Research methods
GENERAL ATTRIBUTES
- MUST HAVE excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills
- Comfortable with data, e.g. extracting and manipulating within Excel
- Able to work to deadlines

- Comms software: Email Marketing (Pure 360), Microsoft Sharepoint CRM
- Website Development: HTML & CSS, CMS (Typo 3), Wordpress
- Measurement: Google Analytics, NetworkSense Tracking, Google Adwords
- MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
